We've been hearing stories detailing the stupid moves from the NFL and MLB acting like they own all things related to the sport. They have repeatedly sued people for quoting statistics (and lost), they have issued cease and desist notices to people who use a logo on a website or in a you-tube video, they try to bully journalists into providing only the news coverage they like, over and over on and on ad nauseum.
This year is no different, we see the following story excerpt from Techdirt :
...Last year, we had a story that got tremendous attention about the NFL stopping churches from having Super Bowl parties, if they had a TV that was bigger than 55". There was a lot of fuss about it, and you would think that, perhaps, the NFL would let it slide this year. Not so. Ethan Bauley writes in to let us know that, once again, the NFL has been going around stopping churches from holding
Super Bowl... er...The Big Game... er... "Best Commercials Of The Year, Interrupted By Some Game" parties, for having TVs that are too big....
You have to wonder about some of the people making these decisions, you really really do.
