Remove Firefox auto-complete entries.

I'm posting this here so that I can remember how to do this (and I'm sure it's bothered some of you as well)

You've no doubt noticed that Firefox saves information that you type into web forms so that when you start filling out the same form again, it shows a list of previous entries for you to choose from.

Well, what happens when you accidentally type in an incorrect or misspelled word in one of these forms ?  It is saved and the same wrong entry will haunt you forever every time you use the website.

Fortunately there is an easy (if not very intuitive) way to delete those bad entries.

  1. Start Typing in the field so that the list appears.
  2. Press the "Arrow Down" key to highlight the entry you want to remove
  3. Press and hold down the "Shift" Key, then press "Delete"
  4. The Entry will disappear !
